I have problems with my Kawa FC290V engine. The sparkplug fires irregularly. I have replaced the Solid State Ignition and the ignition cable. It starts and runs for 5 minutes. Then it stops and won’t start. The power is low. The engine don’t run normaly on high idle. Anyone know what’s wrong?

What is the valve clearance on this engine?

The valve clearance is 0.006 in. on both intake and exhaust at TDC compression stroke. The coil air gap (coil to flwheel) is 0.0012 in. , Have you replaced the spark plug ?

Sounds like your flywheel may be messed up. Then magnet may be heating and expanding cutting off spark?
