This is going to be the toughest year I have seen. Other LCO have been bidding at low as $18.00!!
    Yes thats right. $18.00..

That's not cool! I've been doing a few estimates and also picked up two yards in my mowing areas for greencare for troops. The families are so thankful. I believe I got my friend Lou to also sign up for a yard or two. I'm trying to set up a landscape job for the PLANET day of service also. Besides that, just doing estimates, advertising to targeted areas and finish getting the last of the renewals in. Lost a few customers but nothing too major.

been doing alot of estimates last few days, hoping to land a few of the jobs. Have had a few lawns cancel, and quite a few that havent returned contracts yet. Starting to get worried about this year

I hear ya..that's kind of how it's been with me too. I honestly think it also has to do with the weird weather. It's been cold on and off so not everyone is thinking about their grass yet. Hopefully everything will be cool this year.

at least i'm not the only one whos numbers are off from last year, I def agree with the weather being a culprit in it. Waiting for a few days, weekend, of 60 degree days.

Picking up more than I am losing so far. Prices seem to be stable. Have picked up almost a dozen very unhappy customers from my least favorite Sprinkler/Lawn company competitor. Have also had many new good applicants for work this year.
My advertising campaign starts April 3 with 14K postcards, hoping for a good response again.

did like 6 cleanups today and then had the guys hand out door hangers......people are calling like every few days...its been cold here the past few days and people aren't really thinking about their lawn or mulch installs. April is usually once it really starts to get going.

Most people calling now were very unhappy with last years service provider.

Spring has been good so far. Some cancels, been picking up new accounts. I've had more prepays than ever. Wholesale product sales are way up, more lawn companies are feeling the pressure to offer greener services than ever.
