job help

    got this job small size yard had a weed problem but one he cut down the tree that had the whole backyard under shade it went away. but he wants us to lay grass seed where the weeds were because there was no grass there and he wants us to lay some seed in front of house in a big bare spot. the bare spot doesnt get alot of sun so i was thinking of using shade seed.what kind should i get and should i lay anythnig else down???i think the weed was bristlymallow

    IIRC, shade mix needs to contain mostly red fescue. Sun mix needs to be mostly KY blue grass. Keep rye to a minimum in the sun, or you will have a reddish lawn around August....
