    Ok guys,,dont laugh,,

I do all my own repairs to my plow, ie rebuilding pump, wireing etc, and my mowers, so I'm pretty mechanical, but I'm not sure about this.

How hard is it to do breaks on a 1070? Should i just send it out, or give it a try?

Do you own a service manual? If not I would recommend getting one, aftermarket manual is available for around 30 bucks and Can save you a bundle.
1070's use a clutch type brake. I wouldn't proceed until I had a manual. That way you can follow the procedure and decide if it's something you want to tackle yourself. The 6 new plates you will need are about 500 bucks, you may be able to find aftermarket plates cheaper.

    Best of luck,

    Thanks active,

I had an inkling that I would have to split the rear.

I work alone, so I think my best bet is to send it out.

    Thanks again
