I am trying to restore my jd 140 back into working order. i was wondering what you would recommend to put in the rear end of this tractor. it is Hydrostatic. so i just run hydraulic fluid or something else. Also are there any catalog's or web sites were I could find parts.

90 Weight gear oil? might give your dealer a call, the lawn tech should be able to tell you for sure

Run John Deere Low-Vis Hy-Gard transmission fluid. If you don't use a Low Viscosity fluid it will burn the hydro pump up.

Visit and sign up for free to be able to look up parts and prices as well as diagrams of assembly on all JD machinery.

Use the JD fluid in JD trannies. Otherwise you are going to do damage. is where you can get any questions answered
