I recently inherited a JD 14sb, it was in storage for 3 years. The gas was drained out before it went into storage.
There is a tube connected to the top of the carb, the other end is not connected to anything. When I filled the gas tank and tried to start, gas came pouring from this tube. I can't find anywhere the other end of this tube would connect to, is the tube supposed to connected or not? If not, does this mean the carb is clogged?

Its a small plastic tube, correct. If it is then thats the carb vent tube, doesnt connect to anything. If fuel is coming out of there, id guess that the needle is stuck open. just clean the carb.
