Hello All, A friend brought his JD 757 over because he was stumped about what it's problem is. Symptoms- rough running, white smoke from crankcase/ (excessive) . out of oil when it arrived to me. Pulled one plug wire and no change in rough running checked- compression-120 psi both cylinders
Both plugs have good spark. plan to check valve gap tonight. anybody tell me the valve clearance for this unit? no obvious leaks but just got started and cleaned the unit up. Any help would be great. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. looks like the head gasket has blown. would this create a massive amount of crankcase blow by?

Yep, Could make it blow oil out through the breather etc.....
