john deere 920 or 925

    I am trying to decide between a JD920 or a JD 925. The only dfference that I can see is a 26hp compared to a 27hp. Everything else looks the same except for about $600 difference for the 26hp. I would like to hear from the JD folks out there. Thanks.

    The Z925a has larger rear tires, larger engine displacement(52cu), 12 mph travel speed forward. In my mind with a 60" CUT , worth the extra $600.

    OOPS!The 920A has 24x9.5-12 rear tires with the 48 MOD deck. If you put a 54 or 60" deck on it, the rear wheels will be 24x12-12 like the 925A.

    The 925 will be giving you the faster ground speed and if you go with a 60" deck it will be nice to have that little bit of extra HP.

    If it's any help, I'm going with the 925 this spring so I can get the 54" MOD deck.

    Im getting the 925 and I think that its well worth the $600 extra
