I have a John Deere J3816R Chainsaw that is a great running saw. I use it for light trimming work for my lawn care business. The problem I have with it is the oiling system for the chain. It just does not work. I took the bar and chain off and cleaned everything around the area where it lubes the chain, then started it (with the bar and chain still off) and checked to see if it would dispense any oil.
No luck- not a drop. Yes, I did fill the reservoir with bar lube.
It can't be that much to an oiling system on that saw, could it?
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

what happened with this problem Kc10?..did you try to poke a needle type thing deep inside the little port where the oil comes out to see if it was clogged?

    Thanks for the reply, SLR.
I did poke a scribe into the hole and went pretty deep with it with no successful results.
