I have a 1995 john deere gt275 as a back up mower. When I use it for about 30 minutes, it just quits?????? I try to start it and it starts, then quits right away. After a while, it will go again. Any suggestions???

Since it tries to restart, I'd say ignition is OK and the problem is probably fuel supply.

IF this is a gravity feed system, try loosening the gas cap momentarily. If that fixes the problem, the vent in the cap is plugged. If not, Fuel Filter would be my first choice.

It sounds like the coil could be possibly heating up and dropping spark, If you took it to a shop they would most likely install a tester similar to the one below checking for spark drop as the engine shuts down.
