Hey guys.. I am going to be doing side work this year... my main job is an assistant golf course superintendent. I have been looking at the John deere walk behinds... more specifically the 36 inch cut model. Any one have any experience with these mowers? Do they stripe well? any comments apreciated. Most of the lawns are on the small side so thats why I am leaning to the 36inch cut? Is there another mower around the same size cheaper then 3,000 which the jd goes for? Thanks in advance!!!

I have an HD45 48" hydro walkbehind. Its a good machine, no complaints. They stripe pretty good but not the best (mines a 1998 model though). Before you buy besure to look at the exmark, scag, and the bunton/bobcat lines to.

John Deere makes awesome walk behinds but I would NEVER own another belt driven walk behind, they are a hassle to say the least!!!!! It might be out of your price range but consider investing in the 7H17 JD, truly a wonderful machine.
