    Watch this video. You can also see the two baffles in between the rear of the blades. they are bolted on to that late that is welded in. They are held on by one bolt and are two position adjustable. The deck cuts best with them removed.-

    So really, the B series with a OCDC would be better than the MOD deck?

    Maybe, it all depends on your needs. The M series has a better range of engines to choose from, and a couple other small features. It mulches better than an OCDC, but no where near as good as a mulch kit (unless you modify a few things like I did, then it works awesome for that), but I will never own another MOD deck. It isn't the worst deck around, but I am very fussy and I am not happy with the QOC half the time. I have considered welding all the movable baffles in place, cutting out those two steel squares at the rear that the baffle plates bolt to, but leaving the chute blocker in tact and working. Then I'd have a great cutting deck with the way the front baffle is shaped.
