Why does it seem that Jonathan green black beauty is being recommended so much this year? I can't count how many times I have seen it recommended, especially in th organic arena.

I have never used it but am being told it is a darker green? Along with the other positives of a tttf. But is there anything else that separates it from other tttf blends?

    JOHNATHAN GREEN PRO BEAUTY MIXTURE
    30% TAOS TALL FESCUE
    25% TOMBSTONE TALL FESCUE
    20% DAKOTA TALL FESCUE
    20% FRONTIER PERENNIAL RYEGRASS
    5% DEEPBLUE KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS

The color is great. The mix has been breed to require less N and water, grow deeper roots, the fescues are endophytic which resist surface feeding insects.

Thank you Barry, did not mean to hijack the other thread.

Anybody use this in the field? I have a TTTF I like but would entertain switching if you guys are seeing the above out in the field.
