I am thinking of ditching my Timecutter Z next year for a fixed deck walk-behind. I have never owned a mid-sized walk-behind before but have tried them just not with a sulky. Do you have to be careful not to jackknife on the 180 turns when going back and forth when mowing?

Nope, not really. I use the Jungle Wheels 2 wheeled, behind a 36" X TTHP. I back it off of the trailer on the velkie. Load it with it, crank some mean turns with it, etc. At first, it felt like at times I was going to jack-knife it, but powered through and all was well. I like this one a lot better than the one wheeled one I was used to, except I can't get quite as close around obstacles.

If If you have a hydro walkbehind try a bull rider. It has caster wheels and stays directly behind the mower.

Team Gopher, that picture is actually of the Bronco Rider. The Bullrider is a castering sulky.
