Just bought a BR600 backpack blower. Very happy with it so far. Someone said that I can also use it to blow snow off of my driveway. Is this true? How effective could it be and how deep could the snow be before I would be kidding myself by using it instead of a snowblower. Thanks.

Congrats on the purchase! I love mine.
I will use mine exclusively for clearing snow off of sidewalks IF the snow is fluffy, and 4" or less. It works nice and quick, BUT, if you are out there at 3 in the morning running that bad boy full throttle, expect to pi$$ off some neighbors. Seems they are a little louder than the avg. snowblower, or so I was told by one VERY unhappy guy I woke up at the butt crack of dawn.
Also, get the snow off before anyone has walked on it and packed it down, or you wont be moving anything.
    good luck.

Can't help you on the snow question, live in South Texas.
The blower is awesome and like lawnboy Dan said, use the Stihl Ultra oil.

They sound wimpy because they are so quite. Very powerful though.

Get the 600, worth the extra dollars for the extra power.
