I registered today and look forward to participating in the forums.

My wife and I own 67 acres in Middle Tennessee as well as river property in N. Wisconsin.

My full-time job is as an engineer with a large corporation, but my second job is taking care of our land. That includes mowing, bush-hogging, trimming, grading, harvesting/splitting/using firewood, building trails, caring for a creek and a pond, planting trees & shrubs, etc. We manage our TN place for wildlife, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, wildflowers, and other native plants.

It keeps us busy, to say the least. And it's fun! We've been at this location for 12 years I but have worked in the woods in some fashion since I was a boy. And you are right - this is our paradise here on earth. It is super-quiet in our hollow and the nearest neighbor is over 1/4-mile away.

We live in Hickman County between Centerville and Columbia. Hunting photos: will do.
