Just wanted some input on what you guys consider a better machine, a 61 inch Simplicity Stallion with a 25-hp Kohler Command high-performance V-Twin engine or a 61 inch Ferris IS 3000ZL with a Kawasaki V-Twin 26-hp, liquid cooled engine. The Ferris will run me about $7,300 and the Simplicity about $9,500.

I have a 54 inch Simplicity Conquest, with a 22-hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard Big Block V-twin and a Simplicity 34 inch Pacer model 1534 wide-area walker. It has a 15-hp Briggs & Stratton Intek engine. Two Stihl FS 55 RC Trimmers.

Just started This business in early may, and still a rookie. Have just 34 accounts and one full time employee and one part time. So we are small time compared to you guys. But Have signed up about 26 new accounts for next season so going to need extra equipment for second crew. 60% of accounts are small houses and the rest are large commercial properties. Need some professional info on which of above mentioned mowers would be a better long term buy in your opinion.
