Yes I did fabricate this tool holder. I am a sheet metal fabricator by trade, I am doing this lawn care for the extra money, so I can pickup my own leaves at the homestead instead of paying someone else like I used to do and for the exercise. Our jobs as "Lawncare Specialist's" is in fact good exercise, it is like going to the gym but you get paid for it. How cool is that?

I do in fact dump on site; all of my leaf pickup customers have city pickup. I also have a local contractor that will vacuum leaves for a set price of 45.00 per load. I have not needed to contact him yet but that is my alternative if I need it. In the spring, I plan on mulching blades without the bagger. I am a part time "Lawn Care Specialist" so I can pick and choose my jobs based on my own preferences.

I have been so busy here in NE Ohio doing leaf pickup that by the time I finish my jobs during the weekday, the sun is almost set and there is not quite enough light for a good picture. I am a photography buff also so I will be posting so work pictures soon. I will have to wait for a Sat. or a Sun. afternoon job in order for there to be enough light. I just started the season last weekend so maybe I will get a chance to get some pictures this weekend. I am always with a camera; I keep one in my glove box and in my briefcase.
    until then, Chad

Chad, I am about an hour east of you in Canfield OH. I am trying to start a lawncare business also. I am out of work engineer. I have a nice commercial mower, it's a Kubota Diesel 60" Pro Deck. I also have a little wonder 8 hp blower and Shindaiwa trimmer. I have cut my own property for many years. Work is bad in my field now and I want to start a lawncare business. How do you do pricing ? It there a hourly rate for this part of ohio ? Any help or suggestions will be most appreciated. John

John, I am quite sure that you are not asking the right person for this question yet. I just started and estimated my jobs pretty low in order to gain some income in order to pay for the equipment. A good start for me would be 60.00/hr. There is a section here at LawnSite.com that pertains to "Commercial & Residential Lawn Mowing ". My suggestion would be to post a thread in that section and title it "NE Ohio rate of pay", post the question and see what kind of replies you get. There are quite a few members here from this area that you will probably here from. I have heard from 4 or 5 people from the Akron-Canton area here on this thread. Let me know when you post the thread so that I can chime in on it. Thanks, Chad

None of you had even bothered to ask him whether he financed anything, how much money he had saved up, if he had a full time job that he was able to fall on, or even if he was planning on buying the truck with or without starting a lawn company(like myself).

edit: sorry i just noticed this was couple months old. i gotta start remembering to check the date when im searching lol.
