    any advise on equiptment or juat advise in general starting a lawn spraying and fertiling operation thanks for ur help

    The first thing you should do is check what licenses you need to start this type of business in your area. Make sure to check with state and local agencies.

    Next, figure out what type of client you want: commercial or residential? The type of services needed differ between the two.

    Third, make sure you know more than just one type of grass. Research different grass types, because knowing about the grass you are dealing with on a certain property will have you better prepared to treat it. You should also become knowledgeable in the different types of fertilizers, how they are classified, and what they are the made up of.

    See what your competition charges and what services they offer. Take a multi-pronged approach to advertising. Handing out business cards, knocking on doors, and sending fliers can all help. Offer incentives to your customers, such as one free hour of service for each referral. Promotions such as discounted or free services can also help bring in new customers.
