Just looking at the 777 and 797 JD. What's the street price or does JD hold to certain price? 60"
yesterday my dealer said for a 777 with 72 inch was 9750.00, 100 less for the 60 inch.
If you are buying a 60" mower, just go with a 777, the 797 is about $1500 higher, and when you trade it back in, it is not worth a dime more. I know, I have owned many of these.
This isn't a 777 or a 797 ... but here is a quote a dealer gave me yesterday on a 737:
Equipment Name : John Deere 737 MID ZTRAK WITH 60" DECK
0657TC 737 Commercial Mid-Frame Z-TRAK with 60 In. 7-Iron II Deck
$9,869.00TCB10915 Suspension Seat Kit
$235.00TCB10953 Mulch Kit (60 In. 7-Iron and 7-Iron II)
That 737 is the 25 hp air cooled I presume? They should offer a full suspension seat instead of just a kit in my opinion. I have noticed that the front tires on JD's look small compared to some other ZTR's. This may just be in my mind. So how do they ride?
Their website says:
23-hp OHV, air-cooled, horizontal shaft, Kawasaki® gas engine
9-mph transport speed
Deluxe Comfort Seat
One-piece, high-back, deep-cushioned seat with standard armrests
Up to 5-inches fore-and-aft adjustment to match operator size
Maybe a little under-powered?
For a 60" deck I personally wouldn't go with anything less than the 25 hp air cooled 757, however the 777 27 hp liquid cooled would be my choice for the 60" deck.
Just bought a 2006, 61" turf tiger/27hp liquid cooled kawi for 8700.00. $9250.00 with tax.
