    Hey Guys,

I hope I have the right section this time.

I have a Kanga "Fat Track" which needs the tracks retensioned as they have a bit of slack and the tyres are starting to slip.

Does anyone here know how to do it.

    Cheers.

On some of the mini skid tracks inflating the tires on certain types of systems would increase the tension since they are not mechanically adjustable. If not there should be an adjustment in the track itself that would allow you to tension it.

    Hey Vermeer,

I currently have the tyres over inflated at the moment to take up the tension and feel uncomfortable adding any more pressure. I do know that they can be retensioned as the local Kanga dealer has stated but won't elaborate on how and he is dear as posion when it comes to repairs.

I have had a look at the tracks but can't see any tensioning device, I would expect any type of threaded tensioner have a short life span with the amount of dirt and water the tracks see. As the tracks are held together with chains it may be a matter of removing a link or two. I may have to take the tracks off for a better look see.

    Reece.

Take one of his mechanics for a drink and ask them how to do it.
