    I agree with most of what Crimson said. On top of that it could have been an option for them in their yearly program that Ryan offers. They sell their programs with a ton of add on's. The overseeding could have been a part of it. Just discounted if they buy a bigger package. A company like Ryan will just make the profit somewhere else.

    I probably would have charged about 175.00 for that.

    Unfortunately most customers have no idea what it costs to run a business so they are going to with the cheaper guy.

    I have a yard in northern Shawnee that takes me about 15 minutes to mow. I charge her $30.00. $35.00 is my minimum but she is an older single lady and a parishioner at my church.

    One day she came out and complained a little on how much I charge. She said it only took my 15 minutes and at that rate I should be making $120 or so an hour. After I got done laughing I explained things to her. Cost of gas, insurance, taxes, repairs, employees, etc...

    She seemed to get that.

    Have you looked at the Echo SHC-225S. Those are great and save the back a tremendous amount, plus give an extra reach. They are about $335.00.

    Thanks man I appreciate the input. I'm calling around now to see if anyone has them in stock. Looks like they might be something I'm willing to try. Now that I think about it I have the Echo SRM 225 weedeater
    in my garage that's not being used. I wonder if I could find a set of trimmers too attach to it?

    I about did the same a few years ago. By the time you buy the shaft, bar and gear you are above 50% of a new one. Check Ball Power Equip. I had to order mine but they are great, I will never go back to the shorty's. I also got a set of the SHC-225's. A bit longer and more expensive but they are also great.

    That's true, I will probably just keep the trimmer as a backup. I think I'm going to go ahead and order the echo! Thanks

    Start seeing proposal's come out late summer to late fall.
    Some take in early spring.

    We do most of our new customer recruitment in late winter, early spring. We obviously are constantly searching and marketing to new commercial business though. Now is a great time to get your face in front of business decision makers though.
