I want to get into power washing. Found a Karcher 2500 PSI with a 5 horse Honda at the hawk shop. Price was $299.00. Is this a deal?

I used a Karcher this past weekend (future inlaw's), it was a 2600 psi with a honda (dont know exact HP). He got it for $185 new from Big Lots, so i would say no that is not a deal.

Karcher's aren't for professionals, they are homeowner units at best. I've only heard bad things about them from other contractors.

If your gonna buy a pw from local depot the best thing you can do is make sure you atleast get one with a cat or ar pump and maybe a honda engine. In my opinion thats the best thing you can get from lowes or hope depot. It is easy to get parts for those style pw's if something goes wrong. Despite the name of my bizness its not about the pressure its chems and gpm.
