Since my 717 was brand new I had a problem with oil getting in the carb every day. The engine ran fine and did not use hardly any oil though. I complained several times about it and last week 2 days before warranty expired I complained again. Dealer calls me today and said had been approved for a new short block, that something was not quite right about the engine. This does not give me a warm cozy feeling about Kaw. engines. Never had any problems with a Kohler. I wished I could trade every 2 years like some big time lco do but this mower is almost paid for and planned on keeping it for a LONG time. Has anyone else encountered this? I posted here long while back and Fixer 67 said he has seen it before.
