I was wondering how many of you have had the same coolant leak that my mower has. I have an FD731V 26 hp liquid cooled Kawasaki that needs the water pump gasket replaced. The dilemma is that I realize the engine has to come off, and like everyone else, I need it back up and running ASAP. I really don't trust the dealer that I bought it from as I feel that I was gouged the last time, and i am going to do this one on my own. I have a service manual on the way, and the mower is still usable.(for now) Is there any particulars that are specific for this type of job, or is this pretty much the same as doing a water pump on a car? Thanks for your time and any input you guys might have.

It will take longer to pull and re-install the engine than to replace just the gasket, Just make sure you read your manual FIRST and follow it word for word and you shouldn't have any issues.
