I have a FB460V Kawi engine that has no spark. I've checked the old coil and trigger module by the book and they didn't measure up so replaced both of them. Still no spark.
My question is what triggers the trigger? It's mounted to the side of the block, is there something in the engine that triggers it. This engine got very hot due to plugged cooling system.
It has me baffeled, any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    David

Did you try disconnecting all the wires that run from the mower to the engine(kill wire usually white). This will eliminate the safeties as your issue.

    MowerMedic77,
Thanks for the reply. I did disconnect the kill wire. Any idea what triggers the SCR in the module?
