I have a 14 horse, fc420v, motor on a 50" gravely. This is one of them famous ones that hates high wet and both grass. I set the rpms at 3600 with the blades turning but not cutting. When disengaged they run up to 37-3800. Now what do you all set your speeds to on small motor big deck applications?? Am i turning mine too fast?? I would htink as long as the blades are going it isnt runnin over 3600 so it should be fine, what do yall think???

3650 with the blades engaged, not in grass is where the kawi should be.

  3. the old flathead 's like the 420 should be 3600 to 3650 blades spinning not cutting grass...now the vtwins can go 3750 with the blades spinning undr no load
