I am fairly interested in Kawasaki's line of string trimmers, and I would like to know what the specific differences are between the following models.

    KBL27A
    KTR27A
    KGT27A

I know that the KGT and KBL models are newer than the KTR model, but besides that, I am at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You,
    Luke

    KTR27A- Cable shaft, non anti-vib
    KGT27A- Solid shaft, anti-vib
KBL27A- Solid shaft, anti-vib, blade handles
They all use the same engine. Call me if you would like a price on one. I have 75 coming next week! Thanks

The three units you mentioned uses the TJ27 engine which has a new carburetor with slow idle starter device that prevents the cutting head from running during startup, and an automatic choke that disengages when the throttle is applied.
The weight differences between each are within ounces of each other, 10.8 on the KTR, 10.6 on the KBL and 10.2 on the KGT.

I'm very happy with mine a KTR ($175.00) and woud recommend them.

You could do a search and find a lot more info if you wish, especially on Stihls and Shindaiwas.

My KTR27A has a solid shaft, did they take a step backwards for '05?
