I know people have had some problems with the 34 hp kawi's but if you could get the same mower for the same price with either the 29 or the 34, which one would you choose?

Toss up depending on if you need the power. If I went with the 34 I would first get the serial number and make sure I knew if it was one that was being recalled and if the dealer would take care of me. But if you want to be on the safe side the 29 has a lot better record. There must be a reason Exmark only carries the 29 Kawasaki this year?

    That's a tough one.

Kawi supposedly has the 34hp issues under control.

I think it comes down to fuel consumption. Do you need the 34hp for most of what you do or is the 29hp sufficient? I would bet the 29hp would be enough and with $4/gal fuel, the savings will add up.

If you need the 34hp and it turns into a significant amount of added productivity, that is something else to consider...

What if I'm traveling out of the area to pick up the mower. We have a dealer around here that wont get close to the price i'm being offered if i travel. Wouldn't the dealer near here still help with warranty work or any repairs if needed?

any more help would be appreciated. I'm about to make a move on a Husqvarna PZ6029fx or the PZ6034fxzt. Which one would you go with. Not much difference in price.

    Go with the 34FXZT

You get the integrated transmissions (no hoses to leak) and the increased transport speed.

The PZ's with the integrated transmissions also have a slightly lower center of gravity and seem to handle a bit better.

I just bought a exmark with the 29 and it is a hog on gas. I cant even imagine how bad the 34 would be. I would for sure go with the 29 just for fuel consumption and it seems to be plenty of power. Just my .02

I just bought a 29 yesterday. I already own a 34. The 34 has 350 hrs. on it and just came back from the dealer for the recall on the motor. they took care of everything. But I never had a problem with the 34 except for gas consumption. I'm hoping the 29 is a bit better on gas. I know the power of the 34 is awsome.
