first i would rebuild the carb. then look at the flywheel key. then compression.

i guess i don't understand what your saying. you say it will start with choke and full throttle. it seems like theres not a problem here. what is it doing or not doing that is not normal?

After reading what I wrote maybe I had better re phrase it a little.
They will only start after 2 primes, then open choke all way. while holding throttle wide open pull to start.. :dizzy:
I should not have to hold throttle wide open? right?
It is less than a year old carb shouldn t need to be rebuilt

ok. you say you prime it then OPEN the choke? how many pulls to start it? you can have 2 identical units that start differently. one may start better at full throttle and the one at idle. once you figure each machine out then just do what it takes to start them. unless your pulling 10 times every time. tell me how you start them when cold and warm?

I have a KBL 26,it starts the same way the 1 st start of the day,I dont prime mine, but it usually starts in the 3rd pull cold wide open, ful choke.after its running it starts 1 st pull every time.I dont think anything is wrong with yours, they are just set up real lean for emissions.

:blob4: Thanks for the help, seems to be starting fine with new sequence .. I guess that it takes time to get to know your own equipment.. Kawasaki has always been a good motor, used to ride street & dirt bikes with friends & Kawi's were the most reliable.. Oh yea and my strongest back pack blower is 5 yrs old (Maryamua) with Kawasaki engine , just keep it filled with fuel & new plug twice a year ...
