which one should i buy
for what?? what hp? what application.... I perfer Kawi engines...
And I prefer Kohler. Your going to get a million different responses. I have yet to ever have a good kawasaki and I have owned alot of them. On the other hand I have yet to own a Kohler that gave us any problems.
It depends. If horsepower and cost are (close to) equal, I'd pick the Kaw. However, if it was going to be a somewhat low hour application (back up machine, machine that only gets used on one property) I wouldn't be scared of the Kohler at all, especially if I could save some money on it.
Both have good reputation and like ProStreetCamaro said you will never get anyone on this site to agree hardly. I've had a dozen or so Kohlers and never had a repair if that makes you feel better. I don't like the old 26 efi Kohlers or the newer 30 hp Kohlers but other than that I think they are fine.
kawe!! i had Kohler i installed 2 sets of head gaskets in 2 summers
