Need some help is a 9 year old Hydro Kees w/ 52" floating deck with a bad wheel motor worth $550? And are wheel motors hard to change? Would this be a good mower for a new LCO. Thanks Tom

The wheel motor is only attached by a couple bolts. Then you have to be sure you get all the air out of the lines. I think its worth that for sure. I used to have a mower about that year, and it was an excellent mower. I remember it had a great cut. Sounds like a good mower to start out with.

I have a 6 year old Kee's 36" hydro with the 14HP Kaw. Good mower and the stripe is average. If there is nothing else wrong with the mower (that you can tell ) I think 550.00 should be a fair price. We have had no problems with our mower.

I think I would look around some. If your starting out you do not want to lose the few customers you have because your screwing around with some POS. Used is all right if your careful. But this sounds used

    Theres a smaller Gravely
on this site for sale. I know theres a lot of used mowers out there. I don't think I would buy it as my main mower to start out with. Maybe if it was a back up mower or for a certain job.

    good luck.

My main mower is 2004 Ferris IS3000 27 HP 61" This would be a mower for doing slopes and hills that I would not be comfortable on with the Z. My main concern is are they (KEES) a quallity machine? Also does any one know what kind of drive motors is on a kees? Thanks Tom
