Does anyone know how Kentucky bluegrass 98/85 compares to the other varieties of bluegrass?

I don't think that is a variety. The "98" is probably the % pure live seed and the "85" is the % germination.

PSU is right. 98/85 is actual bg seed %/ germination rate %.
Another way to look at is, 2/15. 2% non-bg/ 15% of the bg won't germinate. 98/85 is about the best %'s that can be found locally, but the actual bg cultivar can be different depending upon supplier, your needs, etc.
