For those of you who own or have tried the Toro Proline 21" and Exmark Metro 21", have you find the machines mulch better with the kickers or without the kickers. I also wanted to know if you have found these units to mulch better with the BBC or without. Thanks

The kickers do mulch a little better, The kickerless lol Exmark metro tends to leave more grass along the wheelmark on the right side of the deck. It has been years since we owned a zone start, but I believe the BBC cover would have to effect mulching from taking up a much space under the deck.

We use Toro Kawi 21's and after trying every combo we could think of, Atomic mulching blades with kickers installed (and the mulch plug) leave the greatest cut. Not sure about the Exmarks, but I would never use them anyway.

BTW, we never take the mowers out of 3rd gear and they're wound as high as possible.
