Is this the same engine and assembly as the Little Wonder Xtra. I see in other auctions that you can get a 4 stroke Honda engine with one as well. Mantis W/ edger

The Extra is only for edging side walks and the like. The Mantis will do several things

  3. As stihlajohndeere wrote, the Mantis will do several things - at least I make mine do multiple projects - and it performs just as they say it does - VERY WELL. As a suggestion, if you are considering the purchase of the LW xtra or Mantis, you might consider this for getting the most bang for your buck. That is, to me purchasing the Mantis is a wise decision (more applications) and if you have need for a easy to use, affordable and reliable edger, check this out http://66.216.112.185/edger-attach.html. [Paste this into your browser to be taken directly to the correct page].

Currently, this only is compatible with their 2-cycle motor units (as explained on the site). Also, this would mean 1 motor for two tools - which is not always good unless you have some type edger backup of course - different strokes for different folks they say. I have both and use them frenquently. Changing from one to the other os quick and painless. The edger I found can be operated tirelessly and is very efficient (great for long runs and/or ziggy-zaggy runs).

    Good luck!

I wouldn't plant annuals without one.
