I purchased a new TT with a 26.5 EFI about a month ago and only have 25 hours on it now. I was mowing a large yard when it had a total lose of power due to a rocker arm coming loose. Come to find out from the dealer that there's a service bulletin on this issue and both sides had to be tightened down using more torq. Anybody that has this engine needs to check into this. Or if you're gonna buy one better ask questions.

About to turn 400 hours on mine this week. So far zero issues and excellent fuel usage.

From what I have found all these small engines consume a little. Some worse than others. It is really luck of the draw. When I run 10W-30 mine will consume a little but when I run straight 30WT it consumes almost none. I prefer the straight 30WT because it is more stable at very high temperatures than a multi grade oil is plus I get the added benefit of very little oil consumption.

Same here. My Kawi doesn't use any oil at all with 30W. I am really happy with this particular engine so far.

I just put in half a quart after 15 hours mowing time. That's close to an ounce per hour.
