I have a kohler twin 20 hp. After the unit has run an hour or so on a hot day and you stop to empty the bagger and got back to idle. It will not go back to full power when you push the throttle to full speed unless you are patient with the throttle. It seems like it has to cool a little with the high fan speed before it operates well again. My assumption is that I have a coil breaking down at high temps. Does anyone agree or have another idea of what the problem is. If it would run roughly for an extended period, I would remove a spark plug wire in an atempt to confirm which cylinder.

Do you have a fuel line close to the block that's allowing the fuel to get overly warm?
