Im thinking of buying a Scag Tiger Cub with 23hp Kohler. I have a 19hp Kawasaki on my Super Surfer but I dont know anything about the Kohler engines. Can you guys let me know what you think about the Kohler engines and the Scag Tiger Cub.

well i new to most of commercial mowers, but i have an early 90's
Snapper ZU2013K with a Kohler Magnum MV20 vert shaft. My dad bought used from a guy he mowed part-time with and we have used it on our 1.55 acre yard since than, just guessing but i believe its a 1990 so we've used since probably 93 and still runs excellent.

I have been thinking about starting a lawn care business and i'm going to stick with Kohler engines, Hope that helps.

Both our Scags have Kohler engines. The 36 is a 1995 model and it still runs great.

Regarding the Tiger Cub, you may want to consider the Wildcat if your budget will support it. The Wildcat is built pretty rugged. Either way, both come with the Velocity Plus deck which we have on the Turf Tiger. Great deck IMO.
