I had a couple KGT trimmers that were very solid and I had no problem with the shaft breaking. I now have a KTR27 that I have broken the shaft three times now. I do not know if this flex shaft is just plain crappy, or if there is a manufacturers defect. I do not run with the gaurd, but am only using it on one week growth with maybe 8" of line max. To me this is unacceptable performance. Has anyone else had this problem with a Kawasaki trimmer? I love them for their weight and power, but don't need the down time. From now on I will be the solid shaft units to be safe, but want to be able to use this unit as well.

    KTR - Residential
    KGT - Commercial

The dealer SHOULD refund your money on the KTR. :usflag:
