hi all i'm new to the site and i thinks its great.Ive been on it all winter and finally signed up and decided to start posting.. i was just wondering if anyone had anymore info on the b21 and harley rake combo.. I was told by the dealer last year that a t5 would work on the tractor no problem even though the #s don't really match.I do agree with him that my b21 is not a average 21hp tractor, but can it really run the harley rake is what I'm wondering. thanks in advance.

I don't have any experience with this combo, but I do know that the B21 only has 13.5 PTO horsepower because of it's high volume pump that runs the loader and backhoe. I'm not sure if that little PTO hp is enough to run the Harley.

The five foot rake takes 16-22 hp. I'm not going to say it won't run it. But i would want a little more hp. I run a jd 4200 it's 26 hp hydro drive and it runs out of hp when I try run to fast or use the frontloader at the same time.

i was about to post the same question. I have a BX23 that is 22 horsepower and 16.7 hp at the PTO. think that could handle a harley rake? sounds to me like its probably pushing it.

I think the biggest problem running a Harley with a BX23 is the physical size and weight of the machine, as well as it's limited Cat. 1 3 point hitch. I think a Harley weighs something like 700-800 pounds. A BX23 with the loader and hoe removed only weighs something like 1400 pounds. I don't think I would use a Harley in a commercial application with less than 25 hp.

The five footer weights 550lbs. The biggest problem with the smaller tractors they just run out of hp. Besides working off the pto you also need hydro attachments to work the tilt. two hoses and a seperate lever control. If your tractor doesn't have it cost is $1000.00-$1500.00 to put it on. www.harleyrake.com

the harley rake would work ok in most conditions. We run a t-6 on a L4630 (39.5 PTO HP) if we are in muddy conditions it can put the tractor on its knees.

I use a T-5 Harley rake with My Kubota L3710 Hydrostatic drive tractor and most times I am only at around 1500 rpms while using it.For what I do it takes very little power.I really do not see how it will be a problem.

I am sure some people working in different conditions will need more power but I have not experienced this yet.
