Kubota Rear Discharge.

    They have been around for awhile, maybe not on kubotas but other mowers.

    I have one of their newer brochures, and they list several models with the rear discharge deck. Their blade tip speed is a bit less than the side dis models, and they aren't as deep a deck. seems like a nice feature to have when mowing around lots of flower beds, or along sidewalks, and especially along side of parked cars.

    Deere also has them listed for the 997.

    The only rear discharge deck currently available that can leave a nice cut in damp, or somewhat tall grass conditions, is the Grasshopper rear deck. They have a unique design that is available nowhere else. It has a 4th blade that turns opposite of the others and spreads out the discharged clippings to prevent windrowing.
