Traded the ZD-28 for a ZD-331 today. I was really impressed with the changes. Two totally different animals. The ZD-331 is truely a 100% commercial only machine made for covering large areas (which is what I do). The transmission is a new design that is both quiet and responsive. I will test it some this weekend and report back.

My dealer won't have his shipment in for a few more weeks. I can't wait to see this thing!!!

Yea the 331 strikes me as a winner when it comes to large area mowing. I don't waqnat to know what you paid but whats a ball park price on that unit if you don't mind. Its just to compare to the $12500 I was quoted for the 326.

I paid 12,700 (ZD-331 w/ 72" commercial deck) with parts and service manuals included. Probably could have gotten it down to 12,600 if I had really pushed but I have longstanding relationship with the dealer and that $100 will come back in good service and prompt attention.
