Lakeshore Landscaping Job

    Here are some pictures of a lakeshore landscaping job the we did earlier this summer. Was pretty intensive. Took nearly 5 weeks to complete. Don't have any before pictures right now. So during and after pics will have to do. Basically the before was a pretty steep slope down to the lake. There was were maybe 3 timber retaining walls throughout the slope that the homeowner had put in. But there were pretty much all rotted out. We used versa lok mosiac pattern.

    This is a shot of the first set of stairs. This was the hardest. First time using mosiac pattern. Not easy doing stays and corners with this type of block. Notice that the soil was pretty much all sand, sugar or bech sand. Was easy digging out, but when you would be setting up your screeds and tamping the base, the hill would all cave and engolf our base. So we would have to redig everything out and start over. This would happen several dozen times, no matter how far back we would dig out to give us enough space to work. Very frusterating... :angry:
