I need help with coming up with a bid for a flower bed construction job. The flower bed is going to be 75 feet by 3 feet. It will take nine yards of dirt at (300 dollars). I need help with the labor part of the bid. What do you charge?

300 bucks for 9 yds of soil ? OUNCH.

Around here screened topsoil is $ 10.50/yd + 50 bucks delivery.

I usually don't take jobs that small and it is difficult to give you accurate advice without knowing the details of the jobsite, but here it goes anyway.

hand cut edges, till and add soil

    2 guys/half a day = $ 500.00 labor + 30 bucks for a tiller.

    Good Luck,
    Jim L

I charge $100.00 per yard includes labor and soil. Delivery fee is included ($40) if I need it delivered. I use my dump truck if less than 6 cu.yds. of soil.
