Landscape maintenance Q

    Things like purple coneflower and blackeyed Susans I leave for the birds. Love to see those birdies swaying on a plant stalk, eating flower seeds and adding color to the winter garden. Some stuff (like 'Miss Huff" lantana) can be killed if it's cutback in the winter.

    We like cuttin' back most lillies,sedums and susans and most ornamental grasses back in Dec. I like to leave Pampas until spring although many Lco's around here cut them in Dec. too. Most of my customers like the plooms to last till spring.
