I'm looking to purchase design software for landscaping. I've looked around and designware seems to be good. Does anyone have advice or can point me in the right direction. I would like a program that I can use a digital camera with, 3d and 2d features for presentations as well as simplicity for my crews. Please help.

Ive been using Dig Designware for a few years now. Designs sell themselves. I dont think I can do 2D though, just photo realistic renderings. Any questions, just ask.

We use Pro Landscape. I like it, although we've had some technical problems with it. The only problem we've had with it was some of the photo libraries in the photo designer weren't loading correctly. A call to the tech dept of Drafix fixed this, just a bit of a hassle. With Pro Landscape, you get the photo editing software which blows people away, the graphics really are as good as they say in the ad. You also get the 2D "drafting" or CAD design program that is really cool, beats countless hours at the drafting board for sure. The last thing is the estimate software. Now it takes a long time to set up with your prices and such, but once you have all your plants and assorted materials priced at your discretion, once they are placed in the design, the estimate software automatically adds the amount of an item and price to an estimate sheet. I haven't gotten that far, we're too busy for me to learn that right now, but this winter we will be getting more in depth with how that works. Right now we're doing estimates the hard way, everything takes time. That's just a nutshell of what the program does. It's pretty pricey, but well worth it. Check it out at

Can yall post a before/after pic?
I mean, not the real thing, but what you guys had to work with and what you can come up with. I am curious what i should expect when i pick up this software as well next spring. I am really curious what the computer generated pics "really" look like. Thanks guys

I've been impressed with Punch MasterLandscape. Here's one I did for a client.Sorry I don't have pictures of their home on this computer, but it is exactly as it is in the design.(minus the landscaping cause they didn't want to spend the money on it)Their home is made up of 4,yes 4, different materials.Seems it was built with the leftovers in the neighborhood. The big garage and all is a new addition they had done this summer.Funny how they paid 40,000 for that, but couldn't swing 2000 for the landscaping.
