I am bidding on a large area sod job and this is my first - I'm wondering how the vets in the biz price these jobs - Do you have a fixed amount per square footage or do you do the price of materials times x (ie. $5 x 2 rolls x 2 = $20) and for large areas do you adjust your x to like 1.5 or something. Thanks in advance for the help.

Is the ground preped already if not you have to figure on stripping the old grass and disposal of that and is the soil decent thats there already you may need some topsoil. Just laying the sod down I usually figure my cost to the jobsite X3. Which equates to about $0.50 per square ft if its over 5k sq ft if its less than 5k I go cost X4
