Customer wanted something a little different for the steps.........We (myself and my 3 yr old) installed landscape lighting last night to accent all the pillars and a few trees out of pic.

Kootoo, the only thing I don't like is the trip step at the bottom. I would have calculated the steps so that there were even rise steps. Otherwise, it looks pretty good.

i agree with mbella about the last step. we always try to have around a 6" step on all stairs.

Thats a nice improvement from the 100.0 steps they had before. I see some one laying in the new planting after the barbecue :)

I was waiting for the mbella critique about the trip step............ :) I could have easily added another inch to the rise or rip off some siding to get rid of it and I did think long and hard about it but it was left this way to give it a custom feel. Customer wanted something different....
Personally I like it.....walked up and down it without tripping

Sold the house next door while we were worlking out there and he wants the identical patio/steps......had to convince him to change minor stuff....
