I had a lady contact me to come and look at her lawn. Seems her previous LCO over sprayed something on the lawn and the whole thing is dead. Looks like someone sprayed round up on the whole thing. How would one go about repairing this? My thought was to dethatch, core aerate then spread some seed, compost mixture and apply thin layer of that green mulch over the top of it. Any suggestions?

Till it, rake it, level it, rake it, sod it, water it.

First thing I would do is find out what the other Lco put down.
Best way is ask the customer what the treatment was.
If they can't remember keep asking, what was done, why, when, and so on.
You won't get the other Lco's side of the story, but you can get half of it from the customer.

Because I'd like to know, if it was R/U, why?
It could be nothing, but any serious turf related disaster tells me obviously something went wrong.

Then figure things out from there, it could be you need to wait a month or longer before anything can be done, it could be a counter agent needs to be used, there's just no telling but I'd keep my radar on.

The LCO mysteriously lost their last invoice which stated what was done.
