There are enough changes to make you want a new one. We sold our LS and are getting 3 more exmarks this fall.

I heard stronger chains, different pumps too. I was told this when we bought an Exmark August 2013. Also differences in the rear axles?? Local LS owners had to laser cut & make repairs)

We had a part fail this spring (75 hours on the aerator). The foot pedal switch shelled out, so the tines kept dropping. Our dealer gave us a new one. Only took one minute to install. So now we keep spare switches.

Anybody hear about Toro/Exmark recalls regarding rear axels on ZTR mowers, etc?

Exmark / Toro redesigned the drive pump belt/ pulley configuration so now changing a belt is 15 mins one guy vs. 2 hrs 2 guys on a lawn solutions. Only real difference but it's major.

    2 hours + 2 guys to change a belt????

I personally know for a fact that different/better pumps are used now compared to 2012 models.

The bigger foot platform for sure.

I was also told by 2 different dealers that the chains have been beefed up. ?????

Same deal regarding drive belt >> I asked 2 local dealers if the drive belt is a "Kevlar" belt. They both said, "Oh yes". But when I looked underneath, the belt was a standard (black) rubber belt. (not Kevlar)

I realize it's a great aerator, but I question the reliability/training/ experience of Toro & Exmark dealers regarding this machine.

Was also told it might take "a week or two" to get a part. Even though their main distribution plant is only 5 miles away (Ankeny, IA). Also >> Beatrice, NE ain't that far from us (central Iowa). I'm talkin' about the foot switch that recently failed.

NOTE: I usually receive TURFCO parts within 24 HOURS. >>>> One day compared to 14 days???

Things don't quite add up.
